Love in the in-between

by thewallflowerchapter

The day after we had a 3-hour marathon crab dinner interrupted no less than 4 times by nursing and crying, I asked GY if he misses our carefree days, and his answer surprised me.

He said that we are still very carefree now. Then I asked if he misses us spending time together, and he said we still do spend a lot of time together. And that he’s very happy to be with me.

To be honest I was expecting him to be frustrated at the situation, but quite conversely, his answer made me realise that we have to treasure the snippets of time in between the nursing, crying, carrying, walking… because that’s where love is.
